Tournament types:
- Single table tournaments:
Single table tournament is conducted in one
table and in it 9 players. Unlike multi table
tournaments that have time schedules, here
there is now time schedule and when a table is
full with 9 players, the game starts (and of
course another table is opened for other
players). Like in every tournament each player
pays the entering fees and gets an equal
amount of chips. The game ends when one of the
players wins all the possible chips on the
table. In this tournament there are 3 winners:
the first wins 50% of the chips total, the
second wins 30% of the chips total, and the
third wins 20% of the chips total. Of course
that there is a variety of tournament levels,
with entering range between 10 cents and 2000
dollars.
To enter a single table tournament choose the
single table sign at the tables menu in the
lobby. Choose a open table with the entering
fees suitable for you (double click on the
wanted table), after the table is opened
choose a chair. The moment all the seats are
full – the tournament will open, if you regret
before all the seats are full, you can leave
without receiving a fine.
- Multi table tournaments:
Multi table tournaments are an example to how
real tournaments are played and they are an
exciting way to deal with other players and
win prizes regularly. Every tournament has a
date and starting hour, and all the players
need to register in advance. You can register
in advance to a tournament from the moment
it's published and until 5 minutes from the
tournament's start. When registering you will
need to pay entering fee + registering
commission (that is usually 10% off the
entering fee). For example if you want to play
10$ in an unlimited tournament, the entering
fee will be 10$ and 1$ registering fees. At
start, every player has an equal number of
chips and the players are divided randomly for
the tables. The number of tables is set by the
number of registered, for example if there are
450 players, 50 tables will be opened. At the
tournament time, players will go out so that
tables will be closed and reduced. To ensure
that the tables are balanced (the rearrange of
the tables is made randomly). Slowly the
number of players and tables will be reduced
down to one table (with 9 players in it). The
prize in the tournament is set by the number
of players in the tournament + amount of
entering fees. For example if 450 people will
enter a tournament that the entering fees in
it are 10$, the total prize will be 4500$ and
by the standard prize division the winner will
earn 1200$ and the secondary winners 765$ (not
bad for two hours game and 11$ invested). In
Victor Chandler a large variety of tournaments
(and single games) is offered every day and in
a price range from 40 cents to 40$.
-
Fast tournaments:
Fast tournaments
offers you to double your money in half the
time! A possibility to raise the blinds every
3 minutes so if you don't have enough time but
you are looking for a fulfilling poker
experience - this is the tournament for you. A
large variety of single tournaments, multi
table tournaments. All you have to do is
search in the table's list for those that are
marked as “fast”. The entrance to fast
tournaments is made with the same process as
to a regular one.
-
Satellite tournament:
a satellite
tournament can get you to a win large amounts
of money. Every Saturday night Victor Chandler
offers a big multi table tournament, that is
out satellite final tournament and the amounts
in it can get to thousands of dollars. In the
satellite final you have 2 ways to catch a
seat, you can pay and catch a seat (like in
every tournament) or to qualify for it by one
game from previous satellite tournament.
Previous satellite tournaments are actually
single table tournaments, where the game
starts when 9 players are sitting in the
table. But unlike a single table tournament,
here only the winner gets the prize – entering
ticket for the great satellite final
tournament (and there is a possibility to win
thousands of dollars). For example: assuming
that there is a big satellite tournament (40
thousand dollars) on Saturday and the entering
cost is 90$ registration + 9$ registering fees
(total of 99$), you are interested in
participating the tournament but 99$ is too
much for you... you need to search tournament
of single table that runs with the word
“satellite” and that the entering fees for
them is much lower, (11$ + 1.10$ registering
fees). So if you win, you will get an entering
ticket for the big satellite tournament.
-
Rebuy tournaments:
The most annoying
thing is to lose at the beginning of the
tournament right? You are planning a nice and
long poker game and suddenly before you
understand what is going on, you make a
mistake and lose the tournament. For that
cases rebuy tournaments were invented. In a
rebuy tournament, in case you lost all of your
chips – you can win back a specified amount of
chips back and so continue playing the
tournament. For example you are playing a 5$
tournament and you started with 2000 chips,
and suddenly you lost almost all of your chips
and you want to continue playing - you can!
Press no and you say good bye, press yes and
2000 more chips will be transferred to you
before the next hand. Another example: you are
playing in a 10$ tournament but your 2000
chips became suddenly only 800 chips – you can
buy chips in case you are 50% down (less than
1000 chips in this case) from your original
chip amount. All you need to do is press the
small $ sign, pay 10 more dollars and watch
your chip pile grow to 2800 chips. To enter a
rebuy tournament, search tournaments with the
word “Rebuy” on the multi table tournaments
list and register to one of them.
When can you make a rebuy? If it wasn't
mentioned otherwise, you can make a rebuy
every time during the first 3 stages of the
tournament ( you can see the stage at the
bottom of the screen + you can see how much
time left for opening the next stage). If you
are out of chips, you can make a rebuy when
the pop up box appears, if your chip quantity
will be less than 50 % of your original chip
amount, you can, if you want to, to make a
rebuy by pressing the small $ sign. Another
thing you might be interested in – if it
wasn't mentioned there is a possibility of
addition; this option lets you buy more chips
at the end of the rebuy round without
considering how many chips you have. With this
option you can ensure your place in the table
for longer. Pay attention – the chips are
transferred to you to the beginning of the
next hand (after buying).
