Showdown – an expression to the stage
after the final bet, when all the players show
their cards.
Side Pot – a pot that is created when a
player bets on all his money. The pot is
accessible only for the rest of the players that
haven't bet with all their money at that stage.
There could be more than one Side Pot.
Single Table Tournament – a poker table
that you need to pay to enter it. The
participating money goes to the pot that
composes the win. The pot money goes to the
winners in the first places from the table while
the game in the table usually costs money. The
players risk an equal number of chips and play
until one of the players takes all the chips.
This kind of tournament starts when the table is
full.
Sit Out – you can save your place by the
poker table, while your are not participating in
some of the rounds. In most cases, it's limited
for a limited time and few rounds. On blind
games, you may need to place the blinds, if you
got back in the game before the blind turn got
to you. To sit out few games click on the box
that notes sit out on the table screen. To
return, press again on the box to cancel it.
Small Blind – the obliged bet to the
player sitting to the left of the dealer (in
Texas Hold'em and Omaha).
Stakes – in every table there is a
minimum entering price to the table. Usually the
minimum is 10 times more than the minimum to
place a bet in the table and in other tables can
be higher. The minimum amount required for
sitting in the table is called “Buy In”. The
amount of money you are sitting in the table
with.
Straight – a hand with 5 cards in a
climbing order, for example: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (the
kind doesn't matter).
Straight Flush – a hand with 5 cards in a
climbing order and from the same kind, for
example: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (all hearts).
Suit – one of clubs, diamonds, hearts,
and spades (in a climbing order).
Table Stakes – the amount of chips you
sit with in the table. Likewise the term
indicates poker without limit.
Texas Hold'em – a poker game, that the
player gets 2 personal cards and 5 cards are
shared that with them he needs to create the

Three of a Kind – a hand contains 3 cards
with the same value, for example: three cards of
7.
Tournaments Buy-In – the payment for
entering the tournament. All the entering
payments are returned to the players on the
first places through the winning pot that
gathered.
Tournament Entry Fee – a symbolic payment
that the house charges for entering the
tournament.
Trips – a nickname for three cards from
the same kind.
Turn – the name for the fourth shared
card in Texas Hold'em and Omaha.
Two Pairs – a hand which the player has
two pairs, for example: pair of 4 and pair of
10.
Under Raise – happens when the player
before the talking player raised the bet, and
the next player needs to place all the chips he
has to call. If the player that called the bet,
he needed to place all the chips, and he has
less than a half of the needed amount to raise
in the same round, then the bet circle close. It
means that every player that already acted in
this round (called or raised) can't raise any
more. He can only call or fold. Anyway, the
players that haven't played already (because the
bet round haven't got to them) can still raise
the bet, and the bet's close doesn't relate to
them.
Up Card – a card that is dealt and all
the players can see it.
Wheel –
a nickname for the lowest hand: A, 2, 3, 4, 5.
